Dear Friends in Christ,
I would like to welcome you to our Parish and our family of faith. The word "Catholic" literally means "universal". Our parish really is a microcosm of Mobile society, and as such, all are welcome. We are the universal Body of Christ. So, please feel at home here and know that you are as much a part of our community as those who founded it back in 1904.

St. Matthew's is a welcoming community of faith. Our mission is to celebrate the word of Christ through service in the historic, traditional warmth of a growing and diverse parish. We invite all people to experience the living and loving presence of Christ through the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist and through daily prayers and a life long study of faith.
