Weekly Bulletin

Blessed are you who are poor, for the kingdom of God is yours. Luke 6:20

The readings for this week focus on the blessings and woes that we encounter in life. Jeremiah speaks about blessings for those who trust in God and curses for those who trust in humans. In the Gospel, Jesus talks about the blessings of the poor and hungry, contrasting their future joy with the sorrow of the rich and satisfied. He warns those who are comfortable now that their happiness is merely temporary. His message today teaches us to look for true happiness in God. It reminds us that worldly comforts do not endure. Only Jesus and His word are everlasting.
